How to make Mexican organic chicken lasagna with home-made tortilla bread

This recipe is a fusion of Italian and Mexican cuisine, your taste buds would be thankful for its existence. Read the post to make this for your family and friends!



For the tortilla bread:

  • All-purpose flour – 2 and a half cup
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon
  • Baking powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Oil – 2 tablespoon
  • Water – as you require
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon

For the stuffing:

  • Organic Chicken (minced) – ½ kg
  • Red capsicum (chopped) – 1
  • Garlic (grated) – 3 cloves
  • Coriander (powder) – 1/2 tablespoon
  • Medium-sized onion (chopped) – 1
  • Tomato paste – half cup
  • Oil – 4 tablespoon
  • Mozzarella cheese – as required
  • Cheddar cheese – as required
  • Green capsicum (chopped) – 1
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Yellow capsicum (chopped) – 1
  • Cumin seed (powder) – 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger (powder) – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili (powder) – 1 teaspoon



For the tortilla bread:

  1. Take a bowl and add all-purpose flour to it.
  2. Add salt, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. Mix it properly
  4. Add oil and mix again.
  5. Slowly add water as you need and knead it to form a dough
  6. Once it is done, let it rest for 20 minutes.
  7. After the dough is set, take small amounts and form a ball-like structure.
  8. Now take each ball separately and gently press it on your palms.
  9. With the help of a roller, roll the dough on a flat surface to give it a tortilla-like shape.
  10. Take a disc-shaped frying pan and heat it on medium to low flame.
  11. Cook the bread on both sides.
  12. Your tortilla bread is ready!

For the stuffing:

  1. Add oil to a deep pan and let it heat on medium flame
  2. Add garlic and stir it to fry
  3. Add organic minced chicken and fry till it turns white.
  4. Add chopped onions,Coriander powder, salt, Black pepper powder, cumin seed powder, Ginger powder , Red chili powder, and tomato paste.
  5. Mix it properly.
  6. Add half a cup of water to the pan.
  7. Place the lid on the pan so the chicken is cooked nicely.
  8. Leave it for 8 minutes on medium flame.
  9. After 8 minutes check if the water has dried, if it has, add the green, red and yellow capsicums.
  10. Mix it and cook on a medium flame for two more minutes.
  11. The stuffing is ready!


To arrange the stuffing and bread:

  1. Take a baking tray and put a layer of the stuffing.
  2. Put shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese on its surface. You can also add olives if you want.
  3. Put a layer of tortilla bread.
  4. Put a layer of chicken again.
  5. Put cheese on top of it again and repeat all the steps in the same manner till your baking tray is full
  6. Preheat the oven at 170 degrees for ten minutes.
  7. Now bake the lasagna at 170 degrees for fifteen minutes.
  8. Your delicious Mexican organic chicken lasagna is ready!
