10 tips for setting boundaries on screens:

  1. Set a computer use schedule that does not interfere with any family activity. If it is not used in that time slot, it is not used.
  2. Set a time of use of the iPad. The child can choose which band he will use this time (as long as it does not interfere with family activities). He will announce it, and parents will ensure that it is respected. If not respected, it cannot be used the next day.
  3. Set some spaces for mobile use. For example, the living room and the kitchen. Set a time limit in the evenings, after which the Wifi is closed. There is no possibility to use the mobile during meals (neither the parents, of course!).

  7. Turn off all screens during meal times.
  8. Prevent screens in the private room.
  9. Order him to turn off the devices when the time is up. 
  10. Find non-digital activities together to enjoy with children: provide sources of pleasure away from the screens.
